Over the past 6 years Schatten has literally had a ton of people who asked if they could design a pickup that could simply attach to their instrument instead of having to go through the hassle of changing bridges. The pickup had to sound terrific, had to be simple and quick to install or remove. It also had to be complete and ready to go with no wiring, soldering or other fussing around. Whether you're using the VVM on a violin or viola, you will find unparalleled sound quality and dynamic response. As with all of the Schatten pickups, the new VVM is designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when running into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). Easy to Install The VVM comes complete and ready to use. Installation simply means attaching the jack assembly to your instrument, applying a bit of the special supplied putty to the back of the pickup, and then sticking the pickup in place. That's about it. Total installation time for those who are all thumbs seems to average about 3 minutes. Placing the VVM sensor on the bridge of a violin or viola is about as quick and easy as it gets. The VVM Series of pickups will fit the following instruments: Violins: 4/4 (full size), 3/4 Violas: all
